The silverside beef joint is a classic, lean roasting cut taken from the hindquarter of the animal. Known for its firm texture and rich, traditional beef flavour, it’s a great choice for family meals and Sunday roasts.
Silverside is naturally low in fat, with a fine grain that responds beautifully to slow roasting or pot roasting, allowing the meat to become tender while retaining its flavour. Often tied and prepared with a layer of fat or basting fat to help keep it moist during cooking.
